"Bougainvillea " is scheduled to release theatrically worldwide on 17th October.

"Bougainvillea" is malayalam language crime action thriller film written and directed by Amal Neerad ,who co wrote the screenplay with Lal Jose . This film is jointly produced by Joythirmayi and Kunchako Boban through Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures .

The film stars Kunchako Boban ( Dr.Royce Thomas) , Fahadh Faasil (ACP David Koshy IPS ) , Jyothirmayi  ( Reetu Thomas ) , Sharaf U Dheen ( Biju ) , Veena Nandakumar ( Meera ) ,Srinda ( Rema ) , Jinu Joseph , Nisthuar Sait ,  Shobi Thiiakan, Vijilesh Karayad , Athria Patel and Varsha Ramesh in lead roles.

Royce and Reethu are happily married couple with two kids . Their life turns upside down when they meet with accident and Reethu loses her mind . ACP David Koshy is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of tourists in Kerala , where Reethu is the prime suspect.

The film marks Jyothirmayis come back to cinema after an  11 years.
