Science fiction action horror film directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay by Jon Hoeber ,Erich Hoeber annnd Dean Georgans based on the 1999 novel "The Trench " by Steve Allen. Serving as the sequel to "The Meg (2018).

The film stars Jason Statham,Wu Jing , Sophia Cal ,Page Kennedy, Sergio Peris _Mencheta , Skyler Samuels ,Cliff Curtis and Slenna Guillory in lead roles.

Jonas Taylor leads a research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean.Their voyage spirals into chaos when a malevolent mining operation threatens their mission and forces them into a high stakes battle for survival.Pitted anginst colossal prehistoric sharks and relentless environmental plunderers ,they must outrun, outsmart and ourswim their merciless predators.
